The torch height control is a critical determining factor for cut quality and accuracy. One of the key elements in any thermal cutting application is the distance from the cutting torch to the work piece. Proper cut height improves cut angularity, dross and cut speed. The AKS tru-kut uses a high quality automatic servo controlled arc voltage system which interacts with the Edge Ti® CNC. The Edge Ti Lifter utilizes arc voltage sensing and microprocessor technology to automatically detect the plate and maintain torch position at a desired set point during plasma cutting operations.
